I'm planning a quick getaway through southern Ohio and I've got my sights set on catching some action along the old PRR line between Columbus and Gallipolis. Anyone know what the traffic is like on that stretch these days? Are there any times that are particularly good for spotting trains?

Oh, and by the way, does anyone have a go-to website or tracker for live train updates in that area? I'd really appreciate any tips you might have

You'll see light traffic most days, but mornings and late afternoons can bring more action, you can try HeritageUnits.com or RailfanAtlas for live updates, bring a scanner too, it is a huge help

Yeah, that stretch sees pretty light traffic these days, but you might catch some local or freight runs depending on the day.
