Help identifying mystery objects by a 1915 track route

I was out metal detecting by an old 1915 section of track and dug up three strange items. There was this one with a "N.Y.N.H & H.R.R" stamped on one side and the numbers 227 on the other. The second piece is flat, about 2 inches, without an engraving on one side and the other having a faded "Massachusetts" engraving. The third one. looks like a bottle cap flattened due to the rougher edges but there's just a number 92 engraved. What are these?

You have found some interesting pieces of history from the old New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad. The first item with the number stamped on it is likely a brass switch lock key or a worker's tool check. The flat piece with the state name is almost certainly a passenger baggage tag from back in the day. The item that looks like a bottle cap is a date nail from a railroad tie, and the number means the tie was treated and installed in 1892. Was your search area anywhere near what might have been an old depot or rail yard?
